FORTHCOMING CPD EVENTS

The EIS has for some time been organising joint CPD events with local authorities to build partnership working, promote CPD and EIS LRs who are available to give information, advice and support to colleagues on CPD opportunities. Such events, which are free to all teachers and lecturers, are becoming increasingly popular across Scotland as the EIS works together with authorities to highlight some of the current initiatives and opportunities that can transform the lives of teachers and lecturers as well as enhance children's learning. The CPD Events advertised on this page are being held with the assistance of the Scottish Union Learning Fund (SULF). A condition of the funding is that we provide evidence of the impact these CPD events are having on the uptake of CPD by teachers and lecturers. Participants are asked to complete a short evaluation form on the day of the event and this is returned to the EIS SULF 7 Project Manager, Lyn McClintock. Around 4 weeks after the event a follow-up form is sent to participants electronically which is aimed at ascertaining the CPD they have undertaken, or intend undertaking, since attending the event. All responses are confidential - no names are used in any report. The intention is only to ascertain numbers of teachers/lecturers undertaking CPD and the type of CPD they are undertaking. The co-operation of participants in taking part in the evaluation is very much appreciated. For any queries or further information please contact Lyn McClintock, EIS SULF 7 Project Manager e-mail: lmcclintock@eis.org.uk Telepone: 0131 225 6244.

Listed below are details of the CPD events organised to date. In most instances, these events are free to all teachers and lecturers. This information will be updated on a regular basis, as soon as future events are finalised.
